Call or WhatsApp and tell me what's going on. I'll ask a few questions, give you an honest assessment, and we agree next steps before I start — no surprises. You can send photos straight over WhatsApp so I can size up the job before I arrive.
Why press-fit technology?
Press-fit is a modern pipe joining method that uses mechanical crimping instead of heat or solder. It's faster, cleaner, and increasingly the preferred standard for quality domestic work. It's what I use on every job where it's suitable — and it makes a real difference.
Everyday plumbing work, done properly
Straightforward local plumbing — repairs, replacements and small jobs. No upsell nonsense. If it's not my lane, I'll tell you.
Leaks & repairs
Pipe leaks, isolation valves, stop taps, tracking down issues and sensible fixes.
Toilets, taps & wastes
Faulty flushes, running cisterns, dripping taps, traps/wastes and like-for-like replacements.
Radiators & valves
TRVs, lockshields, bleeding, swaps and tidy pipework improvements.
Blockages
Sinks, basins, baths and traps — cleared properly, with prevention advice where relevant.
Small installs
Like-for-like swaps and small upgrades, completed neatly with a clean handover.
Press-fit pipework
Clean, flame-free pipe installation using RIDGID press tooling — the modern standard for quality residential work.
Straightforward pricing
You pay for time on the tools. No hidden call-out fees, no inflated parts markups, no VAT to add on top. If the job evolves once work begins, I'll stop, explain what I've found, and we agree how to proceed — always.
£98 first hour
Covers attendance, diagnosis and the first hour of labour. No separate call-out charge.
£24.50 per 15 minutes thereafter
Billed to the nearest 15 minutes after the first hour — no rounding up to the half hour, so you only pay for the time the job actually takes.
- No VAT to add — the price you're quoted is the price you pay.
- It's me on every job, start to finish — not a call handler, not a booking portal, not whoever's free off a rota.
- Any additional work is explained and agreed before it's done. No surprises on the bill.
- No gas or boiler work — if that's what you need, I'll point you in the right direction.
